Having trained at NUS, Royal Free London and completed a Health Manpower Development Plan fellowship in the UK, he introduced Singapore’s first cholangioscopy service.

During his time at Ng Teng Fong General Hospital, he was responsible for performing both ERCP and EUS procedures, a role held solely by him within the institution at the time. His contributions to clinical research and medical education have earned him fellowships with ASGE, FAMS and FRCP(Edin).
